The Visual & Planning Power of Design 3
Advantage Fitness Products has successfully designed and supplied over 20,000 fitness facilities worldwide to date. From a basic offering in residential fitness to a multifaceted all-encompassing environment for major universities, AFP provides each client with exceptional attention to detail through every step of our proprietary design process. One of the key instruments AFP utilizes to accomplish this is the use of our three-dimensional interior design process known as Design3.
3D layouts are geometric models that use length, width and depth to provide a realistic vision of projected imagery in a defined amount of space. AFP works within these confines to showcase fitness equipment, provide environment details and select color schemes to give clients a realistic interactive experience detailing the atmosphere they intend to create for facility guests. Design3 renderings provide our clients with a visual introduction to their future fitness environment by incorporating their ideas and turning them into clear-cut realistic images that previews what their completed center will look like. They are also an aid for our clients as a vital resource in developing marketing materials such as pre-sale brochures or “coming soon” displays.
Design3 images are developed by first creating our base framework in a two-dimensional blueprint and then adding an additional dimension to truly bring the design to life. Thus, it’s critical to work closely with our clients in the early 2D stages to correctly develop architectural level plans for functional, spatial, and ADA compliance requirements. From there we then develop Design3 protocols around the foundational aspects of the facility. Our in-house design team incorporates detailed specifics to highlight the environment including light fixtures, door handles and exit signs. These small details will compliment the primary features of the projected fitness center and complete the model shell. The next step in this unique experience is selecting the color schemes of the room, including walls, ceiling height and textures as well as floor coverings. Lastly, all selected equipment models are inserted into the appropriate locations corresponding to electrical and entertainment specifications of the design to complete the final renderings before being presented to the client.
Design3 provides AFP with a creative and impactful tool to help generate confidence and peace of mind with clients early in the development stage. It allows AFP to truly incorporate our client’s visions for effective integration of the fitness amenity into the greater context of their development or project. This industry leading service provides for existed pre-construction attention to the tailored amenity, safety and esthetics requirements, and in the end translates it into a functional fitness environment in which guests will receive the experience originally envisioned by the operator.
