From its cutting-edge architecture to its vast array of fitness and wellness features and services, this impressive facility screams “state-of-the-art.” Therefore, who better than the industry leaders at AFP to source, supply and service the fitness and exercise equipment and accessories for this incredible complex. Project Summary

University of Nevada, Las Vegas set out to upgrade its existing student recreation facility in grand fashion. The new facility would be a truly state-of-the-art complex, from its cutting edge architecture to the finest in fitness and wellness amenities and services for its students, staff and alumni. The new 180,000-plus square-foot facility represented a significant upgrade, nearly tripling the amount of space for recreation, fitness and wellness. To handle the complete sourcing, supply and service to the vast arsenal of fitness and exercise equipment and accessories, UNLV turned to the leaders at AFP.

After successful projects for other top universities including USC and UCLA, and armed with the unparalleled relationships with the top manufactures in fitness and wellness, AFP was more than up to the task.

Two specifications were paramount to this project: quality and durability. Considering the scope and grandeur of this facility, expense was not so much an issue as making sure that the equipment and accessories were consistent with the high quality and innovation inherent to the entire complex. In terms of durability, it was an obvious concern, considering the significant volume of individuals that would put the facility through its paces each and every day.

Results

Led by lead representative Eric Konz, AFP looked no further than its relationship with Precor as the industry leading brand’s number one U.S. distributor. Through Precor, AFP knew they’d satisfy the majority of the facility’s needs for absolutely top-of-the-line strength, cardiovascular and functional training equipment. With so many students and staff using the facility daily, the necessary volume for cardio equipment was extensive. AFP chose Precor’s Experience Line of cardio equipment, complete with personal viewing screens to provide entertainment for users while breaking a sweat. Precor strength equipment along with several Paramount strength products where chosen to accommodate the strength training areas. In terms of functional training, Precor has no equal, highlighted by the Precor AMT which is also featured at the facility. The AMT stands as the most-sophisticated functional training device on the market. capable of customizing itself to the unique movements of each and every user.
